FAQs

When will books open again?

  • March 8th and 9 10am-10pm 2024

How much do you charge?

  • $200 an hour

  • Most of the booking is made by half day or full day rates. Full day = 6 hours= $1200

Can I see the design prior to my appointment?

  • No. Designs are created based on priority. You can see your design in person when you come in for your appointment! If there are any changes that you would like to make you can do so in person. This is only small adjustments. Please do NOT come into your appointment and request a whole different design, you will be asked to reschedule and make a new appointment, we value yours and Madelyn’s time.

What if I change my mind on a design?

  • Let us know ASAP (via email) if there are any changes regarding placement or adding/subtracting details previously discussed during your consult. If it is size, color, or small details please wait until your appointment - those are easy to change!

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

  • Have a good night of rest the day prior.

  • Be well hydrated and eat a good meal before your appointment!

  • Do not show up intoxicated (alcohol or marijuana), this will affect the outcome of your tattoo and enhance bleeding, pain, and make it more difficult for your artist to tattoo your skin.

  • Encouraged to bring snacks, water and headphones if you desire!

Aftercare instructions

  • Madelyn usually uses a second skin bandage called Derm Shield after the tattoo is finished. This bandage will stay on for 3-5 days. Take the bandage off in the shower and then immediately wash with unscented, antibacterial soap.

  • If no second skin is used, you will leave with Saran Wrap bandage. Leave this bandage on for 1-3 hours after your appointment. Wash tattooed area immediately when taken off. Like any other cut or scrape keep the area well cleaned and moisturized. Use unscented soap and lotion!

  • Continue to wash over the next two weeks, throughout the day as needed to keep the tattoo clean. It is best to wash it in the morning when you wake and before going to sleep at night.

  • After that begin applying unscented moisturizer to tattooed area twice a day or as needed - don’t let your tattoo get dry and cracked, this will lead to uneven healing and lines. Always clean area before applying moisturizer. Use a small amount of lotion and rub it all the way into your skin. DO NOT OVER MOISTURIZE

  • Do not go swimming or into direct sunlight with your tattooed area for two weeks after procedure.

  • “Less is more” when it comes to healing a tattoo, don’t over do the cleaning or moisturizer.

  • You can expect the healing process to be around 2-3 weeks.

Do you take walk in appointments?

  • No. Appointment only, usual wait time is 3-4 months.

  • The other artists do though, come on by!
